For those here helping families with no computers – Te Runanga o Ngai Te Rangi Iwi’s CAYAD Unit is running a program in collaboration with “Computers in Homes”, which is focused around giving people and family’s access to the internet and all the available services. It is also about giving people the basic skills to use computers.
Must not have a computer in your home/Kainga
Must have Tamariki/Children
Must be able to attend 2hours Training per week for 10 Weeks (i.e: 5pm-7pm Wed,or Thursdays Weekly)
This course will cost $25 per family(individual),which has been subsidized by TRONIT
On successful completion of this course participants will receive:
A recycled Computer/Rorohiko
12 months Internet(Ipurangi) Connection with Filtering
One Years technical support subsidized costs.
There are 10 Spots available, all applicants will be interviewed and they will prioritize higher needs families and individuals that may benefit from this opportunity. They will respond to your application if you or a family member is successful.
